Warframe Profile Extension Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026.

This policy explains what the Warframe Profile Extension reads, stores, and shares when you use it to sync Warframe profile data with WF Tracker or another website you approve.

1) Scope

This policy applies to the Warframe Profile Extension browser extension. The WF Tracker website has a separate Privacy Policy for website accounts, analytics, profile snapshots, and other site features.

2) Data the extension reads
  • Your Warframe gid account identifier from the active warframe.com browser session.
  • The Warframe platform you choose in the extension.
  • Profile responses returned by official Warframe profile endpoints when you request a profile sync.
  • Website origins you approve or remove from the extension trusted site list.
3) Browser permissions
  • cookies: used only to read the gid cookie from https://www.warframe.com/.
  • storage: used to save extension settings, trusted sites, account identity, platform, and profile cache data in your browser.
  • Warframe host permissions: used to contact Warframe profile endpoints for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, iOS, and Android.
  • Page access for the content script: used to expose the extension bridge and show the origin approval prompt.
4) Data storage

The extension stores your `gid`, selected platform, approved site origins, and temporary profile cache in browser extension storage. Cached profile data reduces repeated calls to Warframe endpoints and may be used as a stale fallback when a refresh fails. You can remove trusted sites from the extension UI, clear browser extension data, or uninstall the extension to remove this local extension state.

5) Data sharing

The extension sends profile requests to the official Warframe profile endpoints and returns profile data only to website origins you approve. If you approve WF Tracker, WF Tracker receives the profile response so it can parse and display progression data under the website Privacy Policy.

6) What the extension does not do
  • It does not ask for, store, or transmit your Warframe password.
  • It does not read cookies from websites other than warframe.com.
  • It does not collect browsing page content or form contents.
  • It does not read local Warframe game files or interact with the game client.
  • It does not sell data, use data for advertising, or use data for behavioral analytics.
  • It does not execute remote code. Extension scripts are packaged with the extension.
7) Your choices
  • You choose the Warframe platform used for sync.
  • You approve each website origin before it can request identity or profile sync data.
  • You can remove trusted origins in the extension popup or options page.
  • You can stop extension syncing by removing trusted origins, clearing extension storage, disabling the extension, or uninstalling it.
